What a turnout of Badger Face Welsh Mountain Sheep at this year's Royal Welsh Winter Fair! Members were busy across all classes for the event, showcasing this versatile and popular breed, which is growing from strength to strength. The biggest classes of any breed were in the Torddu section.

Commercial Classes
Lucy Levinge and Ellie Layton competed with a pair of Torddu x Suffolk (40.5 kg) and a pair of Torddu x BFL (35.5 kg), both gaining 3rd in their classes.
In a different class, Jill Evans entered two pairs of Torwen x Blue Texel lambs, which placed 5th with a weight of 81 kg.
Young HandlersSpecial mentions to Dion Jones and Ollie Butler, who gained Reserve Champion with their Torddu's. Also, to the other wonderful, talented young people who fought a tough battle with their Badger Face Welsh Mountain lambs. You were all fantastic.
Taste AwardsThe Royal Welsh Winter Fair Taste Awards showcased the finest native lamb breeds of Wales in a celebration of sustainability, flavour, and culinary excellence. A big thank you and huge congratulations to Kevin Davies, who gained 2nd place with a Torddu leg of lamb, and to Malcolm Evans, who entered a Torwen leg of lamb, which was placed 4th. Delicious results for this all-round breed.
Carcasses - Class 122 Kevin Davies gained 2nd place, with Gareth Jones gaining 3rd place. Connor Marshall also entered and sold for £9.20 pk!
YFC Prime LambJess Richardson from Wentwood YFC won her Prime Lamb competition with a pair of Torddu ewe lambs. Congratulations.
